* Camp Excavate */ 9:42 PM    i'm back from NYPSU's "Camp Excavate!" =) it has been a great 3D2N camp, and wad an experience it has been.. the camp gave me lots of new experiences and i learnt a lot new things, which is great as this camp is the 12th camp that i've been to. kinda proves that there is no end to learning, and going to 12 camps in 7 years means i'm supposed to be super experienced.. but i aren't. i'm still learning. =) first day of camp wasn't really good. a lot of people came late and the schedules were delayed. it didn't help that a lot of campers didn't know that no dinner was provided. or maybe they knew but exploited the opportunity so that they could ask for a break to go eat at Macs. zzzzzz. sian. icebreaking games were rather crappy which is not unusual from most other camps. but our night walk game was screwed, coz of the delay in our schedule.. in the end none of the groups had time to complete it and a lot of efforts spent in preparing the stations were simply left wasted. sad. oh and i realised that my nose bridge is super stiff. coz somehow a frisbee found its way to my nose bridge but it simply bounced off, and landed quite a few metres away. oh my gosh lahh. hahahaha. day 2 of camp was much much better... went to pasir ris park in the morning, played games and everything went well. although the activities were not as good as last year's, it was still quite well done nonetheless. and the mass games at night were best! it was super high~~~... i loved it. especially the "friendship dance" and the "island game"! played "can clap" with fellow SU seniors and all of us were like super crazy with our forfeits.. got "kissed" by lucius on the cheeks for a forfeit lahhh. GOSH. it felt super weird... zzzz. watched "200 Pounds Beauty" on my laptop in the middle of the night with sq, yf, jess and benjamin. but sadly the movie had disappointed me... the plot was nice but the filming wasn't. the acting was good but the way they filmed it wasn't good.. lacked climax lah. day 3, almost woke up late. had a slight hangover feeling coz i had slept for only almost 3 hrs. but once the morning games started, my energy level went back to normal i guess. my grp merged with another grp as we were left with only 4 ppl and together the 2 grps won all the games we played! hahaha. nice nice. =) but due to rain we couldn't finish all the games.. sad. camp ended on a high note with lots of pics taken, lots of fun and laughter, and seeing the campers being appreciative to us OGLs. it was really nice... =) then we seniors had a super lengthy debrief which lasted for more than 2 hours.. gosh. we were so famished after the debrief.. so in the end some of us went to AMK Hub to eat, and we stayed to chill after eating... chatted abt lame jokes and shared ghost stories too. went home with jess and sq by sharing a cab to woodlands, and now i'm back here at my home sweet home. all i gotta say abt the camp is, i've really learnt a lot of new stuffs and had a lot of fun during the last 3 days. these 3 days had been really great, having spent it with close friends, gd friends, and new friends. i can say that this camp is the best thing that had happened for me within the last 3 months. and i believe this camp will serve me well for my contributions towards FB's annual camp in June. =))) gotta go do my drawings now. hasn't touched it a single bit during the camp. got 11 drawings to draw lehh! =( the games, the smiles, the gentle requests. the beach, the island game, the friendship dance. the can clap, the teletubbies, the candid photographs. the batmans, my superman, and the nonsensical photographers. camp excavate, a memory to be etched deeply in memories. it's happiness filled to the brim. =) |
