* dance simple */ 11:13 PM Gin's dance class today was great! =D headed down to O-School for the private dance class with Gin... it was my first time at O-School, and i couldn't have been more excited.. haha. the dance class was really good, recapped on some basics but it felt as if we are starting from scratch. everything felt so new... we did stuffs like isolation, and training on musicality. for the musicality training, all we had to do was to walk to the beat of the music, but yet most of us didn't even manage to do it well... everyone was like, too nervous and a bit exaggerating. it was only after some teaching by Gin that in the end everyone got the walk right. and from this simple "exercise", we learnt this important lesson from Gin: "don't try to act cool. as long as you are being yourself, you do things simple, you look cool to me." i think that really sums up the main focus of today's class. simplicity in basics is still one of the main fundamentals... we also learnt a short 3-eights choreo from Gin. and she taught everything under 5 mins. cool! haha.. what followed was a short dance exam, whereby everyone had to showcase the choreo in 2 tries. Gin's comments for me were positive, and i'm particularly happy that she said i got gd musicality. =D so that was the end of Gin's class.. met up with my dad's cousin, Stephanie, at Marina Square.. had dinner with her and her hubby. they treated me to Thai Express! so nice of them... haha.. they sent me home too after dinner. and i had a great time chatting with Steph, coz we talked a lot about our childhood.. kinda miss the times that the 2 of us had yea, we had grew up together since young. =) going to Kbox with my bestie tomorrow to celebrate his bday. looking forward to it.. haha.. i'm just around the corner, but yet u don't see. and i don't know how much longer will i be here... |
