* Much to be updated! */ 9:08 AM Hello people. =) There's much to be updated really. So here I go. Lime's Funkmeister Dance Challenge's officially over. And well, I didn't win anything for my solo/duo category. As for my group, Mels Meet Lions ft CK, we backed out of the competition. I know this kinda shocked many... apologies to those who had supported us. We backed out for very simple reasons: we were ill-prepared. The obvious clash in timing between Suntec Dance and our competition was unavoidable, and it was difficult for those involved in Suntec Dance to strike a balance between both competitions. So as it is, we backed out for team reasons. Well I can't say that i'm not disappointed somehow, coz we had worked hard as a team and came together, but yet we have no choice but to back out of a competition that we could do well in. However i'm really happy to have worked with the team, and i'm looking forward to future collaborations again. =) Thanks Melanie, Melissa, Elisha and Bin. You guys had been great team partners. =)  Well, the outcome of the competition only served as a big reminder to me that, joining dance competitions isn't the most practical way of earning money. Especially when the fellow competitors are really dope too, it's gonna be even harder. There's no guarantee that you'll win, but you have to work your socks off, spend so much time, effort and money, only to lose out and not gain anything except the cheers, response and maybe appreciation from the audience. But that's not practical. Right now i'm setting my sights on KO Night finals. 5th Septmber 2008, Singapore Post Centre, Versus Faith Society Crew. It's less than 2 weeks away... Time to level up. I just wanna show the world the locker in me, the love i have for locking, the love i have for the music. I don't wanna care about the outcome anymore... What matters most is to enjoy the battle, just as how i always did. =) Anyways i went to watch the fireworks festival with my baby last night! It was the finale fireworks display of the festival, and it just happened to be by Korea! (baby's mad about korea yea) The fireworks were really impressive. Its timing to the music was programmed to perfection too... Dope dope. And more importantly, it was a great great night out with baby. =)) Pictures to be uploaded soon! Guess i gotta get my lazy ass moving. Haha! Final Year Project (aka FYP) is gonna start soon. 1st Sept. Isn't that like 8 days away?! Shit. Sometimes i wish i'm not CeeKay, but simply just Soh Chun Kiat. I just want a simple life with my baby, I wanna be a carefree dancer who don't have to care about anything. But nowadays, everywhere i go i see strangers waving hi to me. Sometimes they'll nod at me, as if showing some kind of respect. Honestly it really feels weird... I'm not some star or what. It's strange to see people you dun know saying hi to you, and it's even more weird that they're treating you like some famous guy. OKAY i know you guys are gonna say that it's true i'm famous now coz of KO Night. I can't escape from that fact, especially when the battle videos are up on youtube for the world to see, people from Lion City Lockers know who i am too, and so on. But what i'm trying to say is that, I'm not used to all these attention on me. Sigh. I just wanna be a dancer, not a dance star. But well... there's no turning back for now. I juz gotta move on and on, till the day comes when I can let go of it.
